    New Wreck off Anglesey

On the BBC website. Could be an interesting new wreck site in 50M of water.

A boat called the MV Oliver Cromwell sunk off the coast of Anglesey on Friday afternoon.

I wonder if anyone has ever caught video of a large vessel sinking from an underwater perspective, must look very cool especially if the water is clear.

No people on board, no fuel on board. It's almost as if someone was mitigating the risk of it sinking in those calm conditions.

I hope the current / new owners had it insured.

It is a pity no one sank the original Oliver Cromwell before he made it across the Irish Sea!
If my post doesnt have a typo, then I have probably been hacked!

Probably no fuel, because there are no engines. Looks like a dumb barge with a false paddle wheel bolted to the back. Probably hooked up to shore power.

You can see a prop on the photos of it sinking, so it's not a dumb barge. The paddle wheel is definitely a dummy. It was static before it was sold, so the engines may have been removed to create space. If there were still engines, it's doubtful they were in serviceable condition.
