Cool Inflator Hose connected to BCD

    Hi All,

I had my first Open Water dive today as I am going through my Ocean Diver course, whilst doing the drill where you have to detach your inflator hose from BCD i found it very hard to get off & back on again & in the end had to abort the drill, is there some sort of clip that you can get to in a way make the connection bigger & easier to get on & off, especially using gloves.

    Cheers

    Sean

Did you not have a debrief that dealt with the problem. If not get a new instructor.
Evolution is great at solving problems. It's the methods that concern me.

Inflator hoses can be fiddly to attach/detach; hence you practice.

There's a small device that can make it a little easier: called a 'top hat' - http://www.godive.net/go-dive/hoses-...r-qd-hose-end/

Before you do anything check the hose fitting.

It's extremely common to use BC fittings on a drysuit so that in a jam they can be swapped.
However that advantage comes at a price in that both BC and drysuit hose must have a smaller
    ferule.

Not a problem with a bit of experience, but if struggling better to use this version.

This one will struggle to fit on a BC as the ferule pushes against the corrogated hose.

If you have the CEJN version chances are it already has the larger ferule.
