    Any Worcester Club Experiences?

I have been looking at perhaps joining a local diving club in Worcester or not too far away. I prefer to do some research before cold calling so has anyone got any recommendations? There are two local to me, one is BSAC and the other shop linked. I never thought I would join BSAC but I'm open to the thought! A club with a few CCR users would be preferable as I'm on a yellow box these days and I'd like to learn from the more experienced.

    I wouldn’t...

My experience with them has clearly been very different to yours.

It's been some period of time since I had contact with Worcester club. Then they were an active club locally and regionally. Had some forward looking people in the club. Centainly did a number of trips in the UK and overseas per year. Think the club has shrank a little (but what club hasn't?); their page onn the BSAC site reports they are still active and have their own boat.

Best advice is go and look.

They were good enough to let me guest at their pool sessions when working up there. Friendly bunch, even bought me a beer afterwards - the first week!

If I was living there I'd be joining them, good pool session, nice kit and great sociable people.

If it moves - canoe it, if it doesn't dive it!

Thanks, I'll see if I can catch up with them this week.
