We did a couple of dives, due to other family being in Madeira with us, the set up at our hotel (Vidamar resort Funchal) were OK.
But there are more professional outfits.
The Marine park was very good lots of fish life.
Off the hotel not so interesting but we only had a limited time there.

Well it probably depends on where you are stopping. I dived with 'Manta Diving' in Canico. They are in the marine park and they also allow you dive without guides in the park once you hav edone a check-out dive with them.
I did have a trip report posted on the BSAC website but...? Eddie C?

I wrote a trip report about it here and would recommend the dive centre: https://www.thediveforum.com/showthr...hlight=Madeira

Sad to say that the BSAC Travel Club has been kicked into touch after the recent BSAC website change. Have recently asked if there are any chances to get it back again but do not hold out too much hope as Council elections are coming up

Know Council wish to concentrate on UK core values now and hope it is working for them but it ain't for me.
