Came back from Hurgada last week the check in staff have a scam , they confiscate any batteries or power banks that dont fit through the plastic gauge.... even if its packed in the checked in hold luggage.... but its Egypt... it happens, lost £35 woth of batteries, this happened at the check in so a phone call to the Airline on my return ... I have now got £35 back in my account, Great service from Thomas Cook , flight only +++++

    Please explain.

Surely hold baggage is scanned but is still in bag without inside being seen physically. How do they see it if in your hold bag otherwise apart from it being scanned?

Eygptions ripping off tourists - no shit Sherlock.

Anyone who goes there ignoring the human rights issues just for a 'nice holiday' deserves everything they get.

Oh, and don't bother with the supporting locals crap, that's really shallow

You havenít. I can actually understand your post

Okay, being serious. Do you think it's acceptable to travel to a country for a holiday that executes people for having a different political opinion to the incumbent ruling regime?

Yes, why persecute the people that live there even more, it's not their fault they have a nutter in charge. If I didn't go anywhere where a twunt was in charge of running the country I would probably need to find another planet to go to!
