    Mouthpiece Retaining Strap

I just wondered what the current consensus was on the viability/validity of these and where are good sources for them if I decide to go down that route. I know AP do one but does anyone know if it's universal (my unit will be a Kiss Classic with the original Sherwood BOV).

AP is overengineered but yet crap with it. It won't stop water entering if you go slack jawed which is the whole point of it.I'd either go with the Draeger or not bother.

AP is just a glorified mask strap with a couple of large orings that loop over the dsv stubs. It will fit anything. I really wouldn't bother, though.

The Draeger one is fantastic but expensive.
Having said that the one I got is still going
strong even after about 5 years use.

          I got it from tecme.de
As said they are good but expensive, behind a somewhat
reluctant CCR diver I wanted to be sure the BOV stayed in
          my mouth if anything happened

I've been tempted to get one. 75 quid doesnt seem that bad. I wasted 20 quid on the AP strap and probably wasted another 20 quid at least fannying around with Seacures, Mantabites and other mouthpieces.

I've got a mantabite here somewhere. It worked but you dribble like the butcher's dog.
              Helium, because I'm worth it.

Just seems a lot to shell out for what it is, though they do work very well.
I guess they're better engineered than the AP ones. I do seriously think
I could sleep on deco and still not get water in the loop and as said it's
sticking the pace well. Could be because I don't need to hold it with my
                  teeth.

I'm using the AP one. I've found it reduces jaw ache. I would say I hardly bite on mouth piece. Doesn't create a seal but definitely holds mouth piece in place.

Wish someone would do a group buy for the Draegar ones, or start selling them in the UK. I've bought stuff from TecMe before and had no problems, but when I tried this time, it seemed very confusing as to how much I needed to pay as it wasn't clear if postage or paypal fees where included or not. Might try again.

Dont you have a rEvo center in the UK? rEvo sells the same as spares, could save you some shipping cost
