Ah these are called BOB's, been around for about 20 years at least

They used to have a few out of the Marina in Tenerife.

Yep, I'm over in Tenerife at the moment and saw these lined up on a boat in the marina a couple of nights ago.

They had them here in Javea last year. Company went bust.. they are on a 2m tether and at that depth all they would see here is a sandy bottom. The only good thing that came out of it was one of the local dive shops had a shed load of Ali 80s going cheap at the end of the season!
