But tries to limit you to 90mins in the water which seeing as I am there to go diving and nothing else, is stupid.

    Hi ScubaCollie

It's Techwise for me; it does what it says on the can

    A professional well run center

Drop them a mail stating what your looking for and what is available

I sort my own accommodation out staying at the Golden Tulip which is 5min walk from the center and 5min walk to the bars and restaurants of St Julian’s bay, I've done cheap Malta accommodation 15€ a night and it doesn't work go mid range. The GT is equivalent to a travel lodge (it's clean and does full English breakie) shop round for deals.

Techwise can sort out airport pickup and drop off

Enjoy Malta great diving you won't just go once.

    MrP

Humm, has something changed? I dived with JIngle out in SCS (albeit many years ago) and we were doing 3 hour dives. I guess if the boat is doing 2x90min dives (most of them are <50m anyhow) then that's fine - is this 90 mins thing also on the 60m+ gas dives? If so, that's nuts.

    Matt.

    hi matt

was out in Malta with jack in may and my run times all 2 hours, but i think the skipper puts a small surcharge on if you want to do 3 hours plus, prob because they have afternoon stuff etc on

Sorry, I don't get the point of your post. What do you mean "skirting just above the 10m reefs?" And "look outside the box"?

We were doing the usual deep wrecks?

Yep we were limited to 90mins on some dives and 120 mins on others.

I felt like a PADI OW diver who went to 35m after the toung lashing we got for pushing past 2 hours. Then we were told there was an "extra charge" for doing 3 hours?

No we were not doing 2 X 90mins dives, it was one dive per day.

Frankly it just annoys the hell out of me when I am an a diving only trip

They are called deco cylinders mate.

On my trip I was on CCR but in my twin 12 OC days I did a s#it load of 3 hour OC dives with two 10ltr deco tanks
