    Confirmation of ID required

I spent a bit of time today taking pictures of the nudie's and it wasn't until I got home with the pictures on the screen I noticed the eye's looking out of the tubes, after searching the web I'm thinking An amphipod (Jassa falcata) can anyone confirm this.

    TIA, Gary.

Yep, though I only go as far as Jassa sp these days - there are 3 spp and lots have been misidentified as J falcata in the past, leading to some confusion.

They must be really tiny, unless that is some sort of giant nudie.

Your right they are, even though they were right next to the nudies I was focusing in on I didn't see them, I suspect there could have been an amount of object fixation involved.

I have looked these up now. What fascinating little beasties. They can grow to a whopping 13mm!

Whenever people come up from a wreck dive in a black suit, they're usually covered in these (they generally think they're baby lobsters) and if they've been really poor on positioning, they'll have some skeleton shrimps too.
