    Suppose it could be classed as similar Iain, that one has always amazed me too. Not sure how it would stand up in a court of law when a test centre has chopped somebody's cylinder in half after it failed it's first hydrostatic test because the tester was using another manufacturers dimensional drawing!!!!

    ROFL That's got to beat the other favourite dive shop cylinder test stunt of jamming the "no go" gauge in before cleaning the thread of junk and failing the cylinder cos you had to use a blow torch to get your tool out.......... one thing................charging the customer money for doing it in the first place quite another

    I'm sure you know Iain, the Big problem with cylinder testing is how frequently it can be used as 'sour grapes' to criticise where someone bought it from in the first place, 'well you should have bought one from us'!!!!
