    Mares O-Rings...

As a follow on from a previous thread - I've managed to strip down the power inflator on my Mares BCD to try and rectify a slight leak.

I think the culprit are a couple of o-rings that need replacing...

So, silly question time... in the service manual, alongside the Mares part no, they have an OR number (OR2056) - is this a universal reference no. that will allow me to go to any o-ring supplier and buy the specific o-ring I need?

I had the same issue - it's a mares specific part number I believe. I ended up ordering a mares service kit (roughly a tenner from some shop in Italy). That said, the slight leak persists following replacing almost all the rings. I'm starting to think it may be the larger o-ring between the power inflator and the vest itself (it's an airtrim), which I can't seem to undo without a mares specific spanner.

In the end I've temporarily retired that vest and use it for pool dives...
