Updates on diving in the Philippines

    Hi,

I know this thread is a few years old, so I thought I would give you some up-to-date information.

The Philippines is an incredibly safe country. The people are friendly and the diving is affordable and excellent. It has everything from wrecks to world-class macro, and super-healthy reef systems.

There are warnings from some national governments about traveling here, but the main diving destinations are all safe. I probably wouldn't go to the very south of Mindanao, but everywhere else is fine.

Our prime destination in my area is Balicasag Island

Balicasag has beautiful hard and soft corals and lots of marine life.

I have a dive shop in Bohol and have been here for 10 years. I count myself lucky to live in such a country.

    Cheers,

    Ned.
