I think those Ressel trees indicate a January/February trip, so wasn't on that one (pity)

    I was on this one...

For slightly longer walks/more committing terrain get a second hand Berghaus Vulcan or Cyclops, it'll take a 12 and some fins etc in one load, then the other tin and drysuit etc. in the other.
I own a mogot 80 litre caving bag. This has a wide mouth so can take two cylinders at time. Tried this out Dunbar harbour where we decided to enter from the far end of the harbour wall. I stuck x2 twelves in the bag and walked 300 metres or so from where the car was parked. Unfortunately the large bag space and long straps meant the whole thing did not hang very comfortably on my back. It was also an unusually sunny day for Scotland so quite hot. Some kind of waist strap like the Berghaus bags would have been a good idea or small tackle sized bag perhaps but then I could only carry one cylinder I guess.

Overall I am thinking to bite the bullet and go for 12s. Where necessary I'll just find a way to haul but also keep the option of going single cylinder on easier dives.
Why is it that with everything in life I always find a more difficult way of doing it (and not intentionally)

Warmbac 200m tacklesack takes two 12s or 15s nicely. No tacklesack is ever nice to carry with heavy weights though.

In Spain we were carrying 4 steel 7L cylinders several hours cross country up and down mountains. We used army bergens abd it was about as comfortable as you can reasonably expect it to be.

It is this kind of dedication that I find a bit loopy about cave diving not so much the OHE bit.
I am slightly scared that if I tried it I might quite enjoy!

Can you not just park a bit closer?

Whether that needs 4x4, 6x6, caterpillar tracks or a helicopter is obviously quite a question...
