ADV leaking - adjustment needed ?

    Morning All,

Normally when i dive my unit i dont use the ADV - i prefer manual dil addition and run with ADV flowstop off.

Diving at the weekend i decided (unusually) to turn on my ADV - and i noticed that it was leaking - so quick queston - is there anything i can do to stop this as i dont want to run on just the flowstop off incase i knock it open.

Ive got the maintenance manual and I need the RB Tool 8 to get the ADV open so cant get it open to service it.

    Ideas or options anyone ?

It's easy enough to service, get service kit, you'll also need tilt adjustment tool, there is a pdf file that covers this from AP.

Fixed - the tild boss in the ADV body was about 1/8th of a turn too loose; i tightened it up and backed it off half a turn as per service manual and all is good.

Just waiting for my ultrasonic cleaner to arrive then i can clean it all properly and replace the o-rings.

    thanks all

I've never understood why people don't keep the ADV on and use it as intended? In my experience at least, very reliable bit of kit, not had either a leak or a service on the 2 I had had (first one 8 years old, second is not 5 years old).

    Glad you fixed it anyhow.

    Matt.
