    Areal picture of the day from yesterday from Wenlock Edge NW across Shropshire. Very dry and much wheat already harvested weeks early.
    Evolution is great at solving problems. It's the methods that concern me.

    The barley around here seems ready for harvesting although it does not look as fat as it should. Lack of water, I suppose. Not sure how this will affect the price of malt, I don't know how much is produced for the domestic market and how much comes from abroad.

    Much of the Barley around here is produced for animal feed on site.
    Barley behind us was harvested two weeks ago, was night blacked last week :-(
