Kubi fitted dry gloves - sizing help needed

I've had enough of the antares system. I know some people are very happy with it, but I'm not. It's in the skip on the drive.

Having seen someone with a set of Kubi glue in ones on the boat this weekend and having been impressed, I'm seriously considering sending my suit in to have a set fitted.

Before I do, I'm a tad worried about whether my sleeves are wide enough. My suit is a Santi E-lite and came from the factory with the antares system fitted.

Does anyone have experience of going from antares to kubi in an E-lite? Or indeed in any suit?

Does anyone know what the diameter or better yet the circumference of a set of kubi glue in rings is? I'm interested in the outer dimension of the barrel of the bit that glues in to the suit.

Kubi store's email ist kaput, so they are no help

    Thanks in advance .

Dennis fitted them to the predator suit he made for me (which is very good btw). I think the rings on the sleeve are about 90mm to fit gloves with 80mm rings.

They have different size rings, supporting, from 80mm through to 100mm. I went for the smallest as any bigger makes getting out of the one piece harness a mare. But as Vanny said, give otter a call, they're helpful and know a lot about the Kubi system.

FWIW, I went from Antares and never looked back. Haven't had a glove leak since!

Hi Ian, did you go for Kubi, if so, what size rings?

    Hello mate.

No, I'm still on the antares, although I've changed the way I use them.

I have completely ditched the glove rings amd have used a pair of the Santi dry gloves, fitting them where the seals are supposed to go.

100% dry for one weekend only, before the zip gave up the ghost in spectacular style...

Cheers, don't know if you saw, but I've ordered an Otter Brittannic and they are a fitted option. In a (very small) poll there seems to be an even split between the fitted to the suit or the add-on ones.

Given that choice, I'd go with fitted. Jose has them and loves them IIRC. Having fitted rings of some sort at least means you have a quick change cuff seal system, even if you don't fit the gloves. Can't really do that with the stand alones.
