    Kwark undersuits

    Hi

Has anyone used or have any experience with Kwark undersuits?

I was in my LDS during the week and spotted the Kwark Navy Vests which look like they would be quite good at keeping the core warm but minimise bulk and maximise flexibility.

    http://www.lambaydiving.com/kwark-na...t?search=kwark

Plus they seem very cheap at only €80 / £60

Thinking of picking one up on Friday for my diving next weekend so would be interested in any thoughts on them please

I have the Navy all in one suit. Very warm, better than Arctics. Also a big advantage is the level of stretch in the suit even the seams. Makes shutdowns easier.

Also just as warm when wet, as far as I have found anyway.

I have just returned from four days diving in mull. A few of the guys including the importer all had them. Everyone seemed impressed. None were cold on depths down to 48m. Most dives were an hr long.

I got a Kwark Navy vest last week. I did a 40minute dive in 7 degree water at the weekend and I was very cosy. I wore it under my FE Arctics. The week before I was frozen.

    Buoyancy wise, I added 2kg

What is the best price on the Kwark undersuit? Does it really compare to a 400gm thinsulate?

Anyone got any experience of the kwark v other suits. Is it really equivalent to a thinsulate 400g (it seems very thin), or does it need another layer on top like the Xerotherms.

Is it really similar (in terms of warmth) to the weezle exteme plus, santi etc - or can equivielent warmth be gain from other powerstretch fleeces/base layers?

I dive an Otter Britannic with Xerotherm base layer top/legs and Weezle Extreme Plus. Looking to replace the Xerotherms as they are old. Does Kwark Navy replace these or is this more a replacement for the Weezle itself?

    Matt.
