The failure rate with oLED seems to be significantly higher than with LCD-IPS. I think that's why many of the computer brands that started off with oLED have since switched to LCD-IPS. More of a concern when buying an old one used than buying new and having warranty.

How I have missed diving forums...

OC only would be ok if the price was right, don't really want a HELO2 though so probably OC and CCR. That VR2 sounds tempting though...

Learn ratio deco and spend the money you would have spent on a computer on helium instead?

Do Mod1 and spend the money you would have wasted on helium on a rebreather?

Don't discount the vr lot. They've brought more divers back from more extreme dives than the rest put together. The only reason I went ostc is I couldn't read the sodding display. Cheap way into trimix computers.

As others have said, I wouldn't discount an old VR computer as they can be picked up pretty cheaply these days. The old VR3 is a robust workhorse of a computer even if is a bit of a brick! The best option would be an LCD VRx - don't go for the oLED version as it was crap.
