An update on the bonkers torch.
Early in the summer, I sent up a lift bag from 43m. Attached to it was my scallop bag and inside the bag, as well as the catch, was a Beaver strobe, a pair of gloves and the bonkers torch. It never surfaced.
4 months later, it was found by a visiting diver, who consumed the scallops (reports were that they were alive but stank,) then forgot to take the bag out of his van before he returned to England.
I finally got the bag back today. The strobe didn't make the journey, but the cheap Chinese torch, although a little tarnished, still works perfectly. After 4 months at 43m, I think that it has passed the watertight test.
There are four varieties in society: the lovers, the ambitious, observers and fools. The fools are the happiest.
