Snap bolts - benefit from bulk pricing

----- Update 29 January 2015. We're now able to get a significant price reduction as the quantity we've ordered so far is huge.
    ----- Update 4th May 2016. Prices updated
    ----- Update 9th August 2016. Prices udpated

    Hi all,
Group buying allows us to buy stuff at a discounted rate. I'm in contact of a guy involved in the manufacture and supply of SS316 grade bits n pieces for the marine industry.
My friend is primarily focused with the supply to boat owners etc, but is considering other markets. As a diver, he's offering us the opportunity to get snaps at probably one of the cheapest
    prices in the UK

Whats available ? Snapbolts and swivel bolts. splitrings and D Rings

These are brand new, Stainless Steel AISI 316 standard bolts. No fakes - good solid marine grade stainless steel. All tested for Molybdenum using a 28k piece of kit.

(prices reduced as of 29 Jan 2015)

    Double end snaps
    3.5" @ 4.50 each
    4.0" @ 5.00 each
    4.5" @ 5.50 each

    Swivel Snaps
    2.5" @ 4.00 each
    3.5" @ 5.00 each
    4.5" @ 6.50 each

    D Rings
    1.0" @ 1.30 each
    1.5" @ 1.50 each
    2.0" @ 2.00 each

    Splitrings
    ~1" @ 2.00 for pack of 5.

For silly large quantities - I can get them even cheaper again.

Above are plus postage (which varies depending on what you want, but is usually cheap enough .. ).

I've supplied a few TDF members now - hopefully their feedback in this thread shows this is a genuine advert.

I don't make a significant amount of profit on this .. last round was a total of over 300 and I ended up with about 40p left over due to cheaper postage costs than I anticipated. I don't think I'd make a good business man lol But I'm not doing it to make money. I just want bits .. and I want the bits cheaper than normal. And I want to help my friend.

    Any questions ..... shout ;o)

Due to requests (and my bad for not seeing a few PMs on here - is there a setting to get an email when I get a PM ??) I've opened this again.

Note - that prices have changed due to the volume.

    Double end snaps
    3.5" @ 5.00 each (price increased by 50p unfortunately)
    4.0" @ 5.50 each (8.50 on Simply Scuba)
    4.5" @ 6.00 each (8.50 on Simply Scuba)

    Swivel Snaps
    2.5" @ 4.00 each (9.00 on Simply Scuba) *reduced by 1.00
    3.5" @ 6.00 each (10.00 on Simply Scuba) *reduced by 1.00
    4.5" @ 8.50 each

    Split rings
    1" (26mm) @ 2.50 for pack of 5. (Equivalent of 4.38 on Simply Scuba).

I've had a few PMs questioning my motives for doing this. Why do people think other people are always up to no good? I know the guy who trying to setup a business selling SS bits - and he's offered me cheaper prices if I can get bulk orders. Probably not the cheapest you can find - but they're dictated by the guy who runs the business - not me. I'm happy to support this guy in his new venture. My profit ? Probably a few pints. (I hope).

If any one wants to the see the invoices that I got for the bolts that I bought for previous rounds - I'm more than happy to provide. You'll also then see that everyone that bought 3.5" doubleenders paid LESS than what I paid for them (due to my screw up copying the pricing structure). It wasn't fair to go back to the people who ordered at a set price - so I sucked it up - and I paid out of my own pocket.

    I digress.

Happy to answer any and all questions.

Why do you feel the need to explain yourself?

You are offering a service and at a price, as it happens
the price is good compared to others and people have vouched
for you (even if you are up to no good, a few quid is not too much to lose).

If you offer a service, at a good price and make some beer money out of it,
good for you and well done for doing something.

    Regards taz
