Bungee

Bit trivial but wondered what is best size bungee
For through boltsnap on your dsmb .Tried a but down one but too thick
Any help welcome

If its to connect a boltsnap to smb permanently then i wouldnt use bungee, i would use the usual braided line from a reel.

That way you can make sure the bolt snap stands in the correct angle and doesnt flex into different positions or allow the smb to twist when pulled, manoeuvred or wet.

Tools for the job, if it needs to flex then bungee if it doesnt then braided line. Its much easier to melt into itself to ensure it doesnt come loose as well.

Otherwise 4mm tends to be my go to!

Thanks it’s to hold it all together round dsmb and reel .
Dsmb and reel line already connected to boltsnap bungee holds all for stowing

What reel is it? How big is smb?

My offshore one was a right pain keeping stowed using bungee, it was always seem to unravel. The most effective way i found was to tie bungee together and then drop that over the reel, place the smb on top and then bring the loop of bungee down and round the back of the smb over the top and loop it on the bottle side of the reel to secure.

That works well with medium sized stuff, but now i use velcro for the large one. Never had a problem with a velcro strap holding it all together and less fiddly than bungee and dry gloves.

Cheers m-j-j my reel is lumb bros smaller one dsmb ap valves one .
Just been sat trying to sort it out think I have all most got it
Going to stoney in the week so will find out if it works ok .

Im up NDAC tomorrow desperately hoping no-one takes any pics of my dsmbs fully unfurled and trailing along behind me like ribbons...that said i can claim i did it for pride week and my reputation would be entact! This is the week to test options for securing dsmbs for sure!
