I buy servicekits myself. It is like doing your own car. I cannot replace oil in my car, but I can service my own regulators.
For my rebreather I get the spare parts without problems, I get here Apeks and Aqualung and Scubapro spareparts too. I have an apeks servicemanual too (with pics where they show how to remove and place back).

Just a slight diversion, when servicing regs, who checks the DIN threads with a go/nogo thread gauge?
Also, If a serviced reg fails the ANSTI test after being serviced, no matter what you do, do you scrap it and sell the customer a new one? That would be an incentive for a dive centre to buy an ANSTI machine.
