Agree with Diving Dude (HOW did that happen?!?) and Malcolm...I like the intro's - always good reading how people introduce themselves

TBH the intros themselves are less of the problem it's more the cut and paste responses, although they do seem to have died down recently. Not just a "Dive God" but a God that dives!

When I joined here I did not get a Hi!! I appreciated that it was a brand new site and forgot about it soon enough.
People who join new forums who are not engaged in the first couple of posts seldom stick around for long. It is not your duty to make a connection with everyone in the introductions forum but thanks for the few who will go on and say hi even if it's a tad generic. The more personalities we get here the better. Putting people off from acknowledging a potentially new member that has never joined any forum before is not the way to grow a community.
You will find that members who have a zero reply to their introduction with little or no posts to their handle for the majorityComment

Well that only needed 40 odd posts, well until the next person says "just don't click on that forum" without actually reading the rest of the thread (or even the OP! ) I guess, for my next trick ill be painting the forth bridge. Not just a "Dive God" but a God that dives!
