Cave Diving Talk, Guiseley SAC, Leeds Weds Oct 8th

Hi all,

We have arranged an "Intro to Cave Diving" talk by our local cave diving expert "Scoff" for our members.
He will cover cave diving in Britain and (inevitably) it's caving roots, then cover some cave diving in more pleasant places such as
France, Spain and further afield. He will also cover the gear used, and how it is adapted to different sites.

It's an open talk so any divers or clubs are welcome but please let us know if you would like to come as we will need to plan numbers !

Venue is Aireborough Leisure Centre, as guests of Guiseley Sub Aqua Club.

Timing is from 7:15pm ( an hour and a half long?? ) Weds Oct 8th and we can accommodate about 35 people ( pls mail GSAC@hotmail.co.uk to grab a spot or with any queries )

( Yes I know you probably aren't beginners in this section but the event is there, if it could be of interest to anyone you know who could get to Guiseley ( Leeds ) )

Cave diving talk by Brian Schofield at Guiseley SubAqua Club on the 8th October at 7.15.

Hi everyone, Brian is coming to the club to give us a talk on cave diving, to show us some of his fantastic pictures of his travels in the uk and abroad. This event is open to any one from any club, just let me know if you wish to join us ( we don't want to run out of biscuits) ( Gsac@hotmail.co.uk).
He is the chairman of the Cave Diving Group and has many years of experience and expertise.

Even if you don't fancy cave diving yet ! It is sure to be a fun talk with some interesting stories.

Thanks to Guiseley SAC for the warm welcome (including biscuits!) and for putting on the presentation, and thanks to Scoff for a very interesting talk and chat in the bar afterwards. If anyone is looking to join a friendly, active club in the Leeds / Bradford area - they all seem a very nice bunch.
