Most sharks that attack people are surface scavengers a surfer looks remarkably like a sick seal! Bull sharks are the ones that deliberately enter shallow brackish or fresh water for prey animals drinking. At one stage and probably still true there were estimated to be more deaths from Bull sharks catching humans in these circumstances in Africa than any other species.
Evolution is great at solving problems. It's the methods that concern me.

There is a link being made to a freighter that was taking cattle and sheep from Australia to the area that dumped all of the animals that had died en route into the sea so attracting more sharks to the area.
