Flippin police helicopter was orbiting over that for two hours, kept me awake.

That is probably less than 3/4 of a mile from my house.

Caia (formerly known as Queens Park, or QP to the scum element) was renamed to get away from the reputation it was developing a pride for.

It is a large sink council estate (~14000 council houses iirc), that covers the south east corner of the town.

In the last twenty years it has had a major two day riot that saw over fifty gaoled, three murders, the incident above, and a similar one where they tipped out to chop the cctv camera down, three armed robberies that I can recall and numerous arson attacks.
Setting fire to someone`s car/house was a major past time up until a couple of years ago; cars were going up a couple of times a week during the winter months.
Drug dealing is a major theme, you could (I have) walked out of the post office and witness drug deals in the open.

It dominates local politics along the lines of "what about the poor people in QP?"

I`ve lived most of my life on the fringe of the estate (and this is such a little minded s**t pit, that I have heard idiots argue whether someone is "QP" or not based upon which side of the road they live on, currently live (too) near it (when the nights draw in the
estate gets burgled regularly, in the last 12 years 6 of the ten houses in my close have been burgled), I went to school with many from there (a few were not utter shit, but they were the minority) and my business has been based on an industrial estate there for the last forty years.

They have multi-generational families of druggie/criminal shite, who wear "QP" as a badge of pride.

The woman from the dog attack story (guess what, QP) had a comment on fb about how "they had all stood together" to drive out a paedophile (this incident).
There have been two armed stand offs between police and local residents in the last ~three years that I can recall.
Police also had a car burnt out in broad daylight on the main road a couple of years ago, while they were answering a call.

Did I mention, it`s a shit hole.
