I'm surprised that the police officer did not open fire on the itinerant vehicle.

A police officer in Ohio had to chase his own patrol car after it began rolling away during a traffic stop.

        Not religion really, more superstition.

OK, so I'm searching for a difference too.
Happy to be a woke* feminist SJ(K)W snowflake in a godless universe, no matter what some experts think. And Braun was a twat who's not missed. At all.

        * Had to add woke; couldn't resist.

          more gun user stupidity

A teenager killed her boyfriend as he held a thick book to his chest, believing it would stop the bullet.

A .50" calibre dessert eagle pistol.

wheels and it would be a cannon.

But it happened in films, and there have even been stories of soldiers saved by a bible over the heart. Clear they just chose the wrong book!

It would have probably stopped a 5.56 or a .223 ( same thing really) or maybe a 9mm from a few meters away but not a .5 from point blank range

No way it would have stopped a. 223. Maybe if it was loaded with a frangible. I'd give 20% odds that it could have stopped a quick-expanding bullet like a V-max, and 0% for a ball/FMJ or a proper bonded leadnose.

Rifle ammo has much higher penetration efficiency than handgun ammo.

I have seen rounds get stuck in a flimsy plastic target back of about the same consistency of an election poster

A .223 shoots through a roe deer. It also goes through a 2x4. So either that round was a fib, or there's something more to that anecdote of yours
