Looking closely I guess these were dressed stone so the police need to have a look for patio works being done....................

Reminds me of a business trip to Belfast in 1970 when I worked for Rolls Royce. The pavements around multi-story flats all looked like that. The paving slabs were stacked up on the roofs of the flats ready to be slung off at the Army/RUC patrols.
