How do you book Jerry Sadowitz to appear in your theatre and then pretend to be all surprised at his act?

I used to hate this time of year in Edinburgh. The Fringe has been a haven for unfunny wasters burning mummy & daddy's money and unfunny BBC celebs looking for an easy 50 grand for well over a decade.

I think he's up there with Bill Hicks and Lenny Bruce as one of the most important comedians of all time.

    Something of a close encounter!

We thought we had had a close encounter when a humpback stuck its massive head up about 6M from our Zodiac in Antarctica but nowhere near as close as this.

Reminds me of a time when on holiday in Mauritius. Went diving on a couple of days. On one day we were told we should see some sharks. We saw as many sharks in the water as we did dodos on the land. When back on the RIB getting sorted before the ride back. We saw a whale about 25m away. Then we saw a small one.mum and baby? We stayed there until they went away. This made up for not seeing the sharks, being my only whale encounter.

FTFY. The answer is because you have gone along to be offended.

It's more the very crap behaviour of The Pleasance that annoys me. There's no way they booked him without knowing the reaction he'd get and yet they turn around and release a statement like that. Especially as the complaints were because he got his boaby out, not over what he said.

I'm sure a lot of people would've gone without knowing who he was, that's the nature of the Fringe. People will go and watch anything. I did a set at the Fringe about 5 years ago and there was definitely more than 10 people in (and one of them was a TDF member ). I'd have loved it if I'd offended someone so badly they'd walked out.

Just to cheer you up for the bank holiday weekend.

    Enjoy.

The sooner people including both those vying for the top job realise we are at war with Russia the better. It has not been declared but non combatants in the UK will die this winter due to its effects. Wars equal suffering both for combatants and non combatants. And we will still have it better than many.
