I guess it had had its scent glands removed. Au naturel skunk is exceedingly smelly, when I lived in USA you always knew if a car in a parking lot had run over a skunk because 1) it really stank 2) nobody was parked near it. Having parked once near a skunked car I got back in and relocated the car!! Skunk spray is utterly rank and does not wash off Originally Posted by Noggin the Nog

It's illegal to do that in the UK. (Remove the scent gland). We were assured that the skunk was 'whole' and it was quite happy to be held, trying to snuggle inside our jackets for extra warmth. Originally Posted by cazyoung
