As far from the sea as we could be, except when we can actually get in it.

There's been windows blown in/out, sheds gone. That kind of thing. Some cracks. It was a big bang. I heard it clearly indoors a couple of miles away.

There's always someone with a sense of humour though

Some big lumps of sand went flying then, watch the "spicy pringle" you tube video.
Some sizeable debris flying through the air on that one.

It was a tonne of HE - not surprising it was a big bang! Bet the guy who dug it up went a bit pale...

From the headline, "Lucky escape" you'd think she was standing in her garden when it landed, but the article eventually says she was evacuated as within the 100m zone, which was then enlarged to 400m, and she found the lumps of metal once she was allowed back home.

I guess "400m exclusion zone keeps people save as intended" doesn't make such a good headline as "woman has lucky escape after bomb explosion".
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.
