The "spur" things they fit them with are massive - 6" or so long and razor-sharp. So fights typically take about 2 seconds once the birds are released: flutter, flutter - coq au vin. Not surprised that they can cause serious injury if you get on the wrong end of them.

At some point I’ll be returning to uk so need to get into Dawns good book (if she has one)or at least off “The List”.

In actual fact despite the joking on TDF I think that the aggressive antisocial attitude that we sometime glimpse on this forum is just a front; an internet persona and in real like she is a fluffy, friendly person all too willing to help her fellow humankind 😄
