To be honest 100million is not really that big an investment compared to many others. Sure it is good news but it is going against the trend somewhat.

The Spectator did report it whilst whinging about Black Lives Matter being a culture war rather than correcting an imbalance, claiming that the UK economy is on the rise (spoiler alert: it is going down the tubes) and that the rest of the media are obsessed with some other story at the moment.

Other papers also reported it so it is hardly top secret whatever Noggin says

Is that the rag that Boris "truthful" Johnson edited, and Dominic "dodgy eyesight" Cummings wife writes for?

In other news , the UK has just splurged 400million+ buying up a chunk of One Web in the states, because they think they might be able to cobble it in to a gps system.
Now that we cant have access to the Galileo system we helped pay for.

    Yes.

Sadly some people are still stupid enough to read it though.

Too many witches around I suppose. Still, many of them will get better, so I'm told.
The views expressed are my own, worth what you've paid for them, are not on behalf of anyone else and not those of any company I work for etc.

In my experience there isn't a major project site in the UK that doesn't turn up newts - my theory is that they are actually quite common on brownfield sites but no one ever looks for them until you have a project. Then you get consultants in to do a proper survey at great expense and find the place is teeming with the little buggers, followed by an expensive relocation exercise supervised by the same consultants. Either that or the NIMBYs have a stock of newts that they seed development sites with - maybe we should get them DNA tested to see if it isn't the same few dozen every time!

Maybe a new species of homing newts?

Yay, newt liberation party. Or is it the people's newt liberation front?

Spectator article seemed to miss the bit where Leicester is just one of the 20 businesses incubation centres around Europe....

Why is it that with everything in life I always find a more difficult way of doing it (and not intentionally)
