Yes, and that was after his tale of piracy, with his boat being stolen, painted and recovered in the Isle of Man. I don't recall any of the locals believing him.

Me too. More boats there and on the south coast than you could shake a stick at. You could fill a boat in twenty minutes, the time it took to call around or send out an email with details.

Now my much diminished group of dive buddies has to share boats with others. It's nice meeting new people, but very frustrating. Mind you, I'm currently one of the absentees from the group, which is very frustrating. Next year, Insha'Allah.
Happy to be a woke* feminist SJ(K)W snowflake in a godless universe, no matter what some experts think. And Braun was a twat who's not missed. At all.

    * Had to add woke; couldn't resist.

If the stories were true, he owned the boat but the engine was owned by someone who was something to do with Northern Divers.

Allegedly the ND man and an accomplice chartered the boat under the pretense of a wildlife trip further south around Easdale then lured Jameson out of the wheelhouse, at which point they locked him out and set off in full-on "Avast there, Yaaarrrr!" mode, with Jameson on his mobile calling the Police and Coastguard!!

Not sure how true any of it was but given his reputation I could well believe it.

That sounds on a par with the other comedy genius of the Scottish diving scene around the same time, former head instructor of Aquatron. Attacked by a conger eel in Loch Long and dragged to the opposite shore of the loch and found with amnesia; "kidnapped" on a dive trip to the south of France and found in a petrol station with amnesia; shot in the gut with the smallest calibre pistol known to man in Marbella, also found with amnesia.

The 90's were a great time for diving in Scotland

And where can one purchase this product? Just asking out of interest.
