I also did a set by step about Apeks first and seconds but Apeks threw their toys out of the pram...
Did my wrist seals last week, piece of cake. Also replaced the zip a while back and that was easy peasy too. As I did it, I did a step by step guide which is on the BSAC website.
As others have...
Ideally 90 shore A for DIN (112) or A clamp (111) O rings. Send me a message and I'll sort a bag out for you. You can use softer ones no problem but you might find they pop out of the O ring groove...
I've been in Feb, and August. Used a 5mm shortie for both trips was perfectly warm enough. Took a 5mm full length and it just swung from the hangar unused. Others in Feb were in swimmers and a rash...
Somewhere in the vicinity of SMS Dresden is a KT reel and AP crack bottle blob. That was an expensive dive... :(
Kit insurance refused to pay out as they were considered as separate items and in the...
Gareth Lock has built a whole business around this...!
Also- less failure points than a spool would be genuinely impressive. I've seen reels fall apart underwater, jam when you wind all the line...
I use a 50m cheap spool with 5m of line cut off for launching a DSMB. Switched about 15 years ago and won't go back. So easy to use and easily fits in a drysuit pocket.
I do use a KT composite...
The lovely thing about diving off a liveaboard is you only hump your kit once, and in between dives you have a lovely snooze in an air conditioned cabin, or have a nice meal, or read a book in the...

- added a NERD2 and dribble valve from a feller in New Zealand so I run it as an mCCR and the only time the AP stuff works is on switch on and calibration
- I had a lovely...
If I didn't have to use an Inspo for teaching, I possibly would. See above I did mention this...! However JJ won't let anyone but a tightly controlled group of instructors teach on it. And I won't...
On my 3rd head. One crack was user error, the other 2 just appeared from nowhere. I have a stainless laser cut ring and some knurled screws on it now. Those lift and turn things are gash.
Leaking...
Maybe I should pray for the miracle of a compressor moisture sensor to appear?
The 8" Bahco thin wide jaw adjustable is the most useful bit of dive reg spannering kit. Does everything from the thin nuts on Apeks 2nd stages to manifolds.
Chop it up for scrap and use the cash to get a used plastic tank.
The best thing about this option is it gives you an excuse to buy one of these:...
Mine cost me £28k, sleeps 6 at a push but 4 in comfy full sized beds, has a towbar, proper kitchen, fridge/freezer, toilet and shower and a massive load space. And when I'm sick of it, I'll get my...
Buy used motorhome for much less than 90 grand.
Potter about for a few years with a compressor and diving gear in the back.
Sell motorhome for same price you bought it when you want to do something...

Oooo some photos...

Not a clue. It's this one.

Selling on behalf of a friend who is giving up due to medical reasons.

I have the Smart-tex stuff. It's great. Vest and socks, plus some Santi gloves.
The socks are superb when standing around in Capers car park all day in the ice waiting for trainees. I get little...
Still waiting for the year excuse…? Had to get something. You weren’t coming up with anything despite several reminders. Looks like you still won’t.
Blah blah blah I'll believe you when I see one arrive.
If you could give me a good reason why you think nearly a year is acceptable for supply of a part I'd like to hear the excuse.
