    Suunto Wireless Transmitter

    Hi chums,

Will be investing in a D6i shortly. Debating whether to buy the transmitter as well. Is it worth it? Any feedback positive or negative to help me make a decision gratefully received.

    Thanks in advance,

    Nigel

Hi, I was the guy who originally posted the thread shown above. After quite a bit of umming and arghing I decided to get one as aquanauts were doing a deal on them for £140

Probably would of paid the full price for one though

            Hi all,

Many thanks for your replies and for making a newbie feel at home!

Byron, so what is your verdict, having bought one? What are the pros and cons for you?

            Many thanks,

            Nigel

Is there a lowest pressure it will transmit or the DC will display beofreit throws you out of the water or at least stops giving you useful info?

I think on balance that I'll pass on the transmitter. The earlier thread pretty much sums it up for me. will invest in a decent gauge and pocket the difference. Got Dahab coming up first 2 weeks of October, so the cash will be useful. :-)

I really like the way it keeps a permanent record for you on your watch. Especially as a relatively new diver you can see how your air control improves over time. I like having everything in one place on your wrist

I do use an apeks contents gauge in tandem with the transmitter though, mainly as a back up
