Is it standard practise to wind up a company having sold the company's assets to another?

My spidery senses are tingling.

Thanks Neil,

VR Technology Ltd was a subsidiary company of VR Technology Holdings Ltd (the parent company) and these 2 companies were run side by side for some time. When Avon agreed to buy VR Technology Holdings Ltd, the decision was made by the Directors to close down VR Technology Ltd.

Why? You know something else to this?

Edit: Oh, okay just seen the other thread... However VR are still trading and supporting their existing product line.

They're clearly not supporting the existing product line, they've just shat all over their customer base from before the takeover. With unethical practices like that I wouldn't piss down their leg if their feet were afire.

Has any one any hints on the optocon for the Sentinel? works and then it does't then it does! the fibre optic cable seams the problem. Thinking about fitting a pair of gauges and ignoring the output but that would be aborting the pre dive on the hand set! Will the batteries really last three years? I very much doubt it!

I am amassed that something as useless has been added to a great unit.

Three years? No chance, I'm lucky if I get six months for the HP sensors. Got about twelve months out of the O2 cell sender before one of the batterys went, but that could just be a bad battery. At least there is a back up in that though.

The Optocon HP senders are crap. Very sensitive to any crap in the light path.
VR seem to know this, as there is now a wireless option using Oceanic wireless transmitters.
