    Windows 7 updates

    There can be a serious issue with the latest windows 7 update causing your pc to fail to boot (especially if you are running kapersky virus software)

    Don't install it if you haven't already. Link to remove the issue can be found in this article

    Windows 7 'security' patch knocks out PCs, knackers antivirus tools ? The Register

    It managed to de activate the operating system partition on one of our laptops, corrupt the boot records and despite eventually getting it to boot and removing the patch it now takes about 3 minutes to boot up.

    I seem to have got away with it. Removed anyway, thanks for the heads up.
