I've just fitted this and it looks great but has anyone got any experience of diving it, ie how does it trim out?

The only thing I'm not quite sure about now is the weight of the unit, Im pretty sure that its going to leave me with very little if any ditchable weight. I may have to take off the thick BP and put the original one back on just to free up a could of kg's.

I had mine set up with the longer KT BP, foot & stand with cylinders & lime it weighed 48kg (inc of 2 x 1kg lung trim weights).

I am 6'1" it trimmed great for me, very stable kitting up etc, very impressed with it, until I started to use multiple stages, I could only just float in salt water, if I had have lost my wing there was no way of getting up safely in my opinion.

I know use it permanently in the travel frame using a Hollis SMS100 wing, it's much better for me.

Good luck

Karl

thanks Karl, best bet I guess is to get it in the water and see how it feels. good point re the wing, it sounds like its worth me sticking my dual bladder on. I've been using it in the travel frame for the last couple of years but its just too short. You're taller than me, how do you find it sitting kitted up on the boat with stages?

The wing on standard set up is the issue, you need to have a CCR style wing with just a cross section in fill as opposed to solid panels, also the mounts are are not standard 11" spaces. The top of the wing is only small as well otherwise it will interfere with your loop.

The standard wing is a dive rite one, the bladder is huge but the cover is custom made & restricts it.

The total lift is 45lb, they now ship with a Hollis wing but alas this is only 45lb but a better wing IMHO.
