    What to buy?

Hi folks. Advice required. I have one of these http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Prod...PowerShot_D20/
    But no housing.
Debating whether to buy a housing or splash out and buy a go pro that i could use for my biking activities as well. Ive never been a photography buff on dry land but have used other 'action cams'.
I like the 'stick on a handle and film everything' idea of the go pro but not sure if i'd miss out on some of the detail i'd get with the camera

    Help!? And thanks in advance

And please don't tell me to buy a different camera

The problem with the 'film everything' technique, and I've played with quite a few, is that you still need to actually think about where the camera is mounted and what it's pointing at. Camera shake underwater always seems more pronounced and when I look back at some of my first attempts they can make you feel sea sick!

Not to mention the amount of editing required afterwards

Good point. What are the mounting options then. Goodman. Helmet. Mask. Chest mounted?

Although not with a GoPro, I've tried the following..

Head mounted ... Crap! Everyone moves their head too much
Mask mounted ... As above but worse.. Exhaust bubbles obliterated everything
Shoulder mounted ... Did ok to film everything, as long as it was on the ground below my stomach.

Some people have had good results mounting a GoPro onto their larger camera rigs, I imagine a handle of some description would be advantageous, although I struggle if I don't plan the shots and see what I'm filming all the time.

That's why I ditched my Hd video and went back to stills..
