where do you store your dust caps

I have just stripped down my CCR carefully drying off my O2 solenoid and reached for my dust caps. B88**& where the &**K did I put them......

Now while I am methodical about my approach to assembly and dis-assembly/cleaning, these little darling seem to have a mind of their own turning up next to my O2 grease, in my computer box, spares box, boat bag and once even in my dry-gloves.

Need some inspiration here !

Best system for any caps i've found is to mimic what you've taken it off from fixed on the inside
lid of a box/crate etc. Not only do you know where it is, can't get crud on the threads etc.

More or less as Tel says, mine go onto the blanking caps that I have on my cylinders to keep them both paired and clean.

Unlike the DIN plugs we discussed the other day, these are very handy when you're separating the solenoid from the feed in a potentially wet/damp environment. Rusty solenoids are not something we wish to deal with.

More because you don't take the head "off" a sentinel like you do a JJ when you change the scrubber, head plus solenoid stays in place and connected to the o2 feed manifold via narrow bore stainless pipe work

My JJ travelled up to Northampton last week with a dust cap in place and came back fixed, with the dust cap still in situ.

I don't disconnect the solenoid on my AP Inspiration either - I have an Alibox so can remove the scrubber canister without taking the lid out of the box.

thanks all, so the suggestions is to mimic stuff in fixed position, or get into the habit of using your spares box. I use a Gbox, I think it's the spares box then unless I might find a conveniently sized hole in the lid and use that :think:
