Have you considered fitting the Hollis BOV? I understand that Baz at SXD in Sydney can supply it as a kit to fit the JJ-CCR and it at least meets the CE requirements to 40m.
A Poseidon BOV might give you even better WOB especially bailed out as it is CE'd to 100m but not sure if anyone is offering a turnkey kit for it to fit the JJ-CCR. Try Martin at tecme..de perhaps.

Surprised Brad didnt tell you to reverse the flow of your JJ to fit the best BOV ever invented ....... ever!

If you want to try the Poseidon route I have a set of the hose adaptors, but as said there is no turn key solution

Checked out hollis option via southern cross in sydney. Cost is approx 750usd for either prism2 or explorer bov, which according to them are same but hose feeds from different sides. Strange thing is i can find explorer for sale for approx 250usd but prism2 is more like 600usd. I dont get the difference not where you need to spend approx 500usd for fitting kit
Anyway, new gg shrimp ordered today from prague so hopefully good choice made

It was explained to me that the explorer comes as spare parts and the prism is a kit.... About $300-350 from Add Helium for the explorer bits then a new but of JJ hose with the cuffs still on for about £30 I think

Best is subjective; because it could have the requirement that ones BOV matches ones fin colour. Best breathing performance in CC and OC modes isn't, as this is something that can be easily characterized, but that wasn't what the OP was after. In response to your question I still haven't had anyone advise me that flipping the JJ-CCR flow direction (and significantly reducing its WOB) would actually be less safe based on unmanned test data!
Why anyone would actively choose to run a bailout valve with such a high OC WOB as I understand the Shrimp actually has, is beyond me, but each to their own. Not knowing the WOB of the Poseidon or Hollis BOVs in CC mode gives them an unknown comparative quantity which is unfortunate. That the P2 only has a slightly higher WOB than the JJ-CCR would lead me to assume its BOVs WOB is comparable to the JJ-DSV but....

hi brad
nice to hear you banging on again, now that you have re-surfaced have you been given a date for the electronics that you keep saying are in production, or will the ea's be fobbed off again

It's ironic that Diving Diva gets banned for pretending to be a swimsuit model but Brad pretends to be a rebreather manufacturer and is allowed to stay.

This is a diving forum? I thought the "Dive" part in TDF was similar to the "Yorkshire" in YD or the "Explorers" in CCRX.
