Just joined the forum, to see if we can publicise our new scuba charity, Dizzy Divers.

The aim of the charity is to raise funds to help disabled and disadvantaged adults and children who want to learn to dive, but maybe can't afford the full costs.

We aim to try and offer financial assistance at the same time as steering potential recipients towards their local dive school/club or "Specialist" outfit such as The Scuba Trust.

Website is currently under construction

Our charity No is 1165831

Any suport you can offer will be invaluable:

Cash donations - See Dizzy Divers on Facebook, donate now tab.
Spread the word - See Dizzy Divers on Facebook, and Like and share
Kit donations, new or old that we can either use for training, or sell on to raise funds.
Donations in kind (Pro-Bono) - Legal, Accountancy, Printing,

If you know anyone who we may be able to help, put them in touch.

Every little helps,

Thanks in advance

Dizzy

Do you want me to merge the two threads, move the other one here and delete this? Or what?

Dizzy may not be the most sensitive term to use when referring to disadvantaged/disabled persons.... Just a thought..

Perhaps is the new PC word for handicapped, disabled, special needs, learning challenged and a thousand more........ new term is Dizzy :)

So we will have Dizzy car parking spaces
Dizzy toilets
Dizzzy Equal Rights Act
Dizzy Discrimination.
There would be Dzzy MP's........ no change there....

I've been a bit quiet on here lately so wasn't aware that a new charity had been set up, but it's great to hear that you are helping promote diving for everyone. Just a point that as Trustee for Scuba Trust, we have never heard anything from you or about you. If you can help with funding would you get in touch with me (pm on here is best), or contact Scuba Trust via our website.
