Also keep your eyes open for when lidl and aldi have spools of line in their specials. Got some great bright yellow last time, just right for the reel.

(Lidl are doing some ropes/cord on Monday* - wouldn't necessarily hang off a cliff on them, but they are always useful)

Just been down the shed and checked. The yellow stuff is 2mm braided polyprop, marked 40kg.

Definitely get braided, not twisted if you're going to b&q. They sell both in shiny colours.

Dont know. Dive Rite and Agir dont seem to have a problem with it.

It's only a bit of string... unless your lining off practice is so precise as to be bothered by 0.05% elongation when wet? :-P

Or is it "cave line", which obviously costs more and looks nicer.
