I've just posted this on YD too to add another poster

The OSTC 3 looks sweet - seems to have less functions than the 2n but does do CCR cell monitoring.
Smaller too and the bungee mount looks nice too. HW will continue the more open function OSTC 2n with support too so no panicking :-)

Linky below to a PDF giving some sales stuff and the price - 785 euros

I'm staying with the 2n though.

Safe diving. Mark

At least I'll be able to change the battery myself when that day comes ;)

Looks nice & neat from the front in the .pdf and the bungy mount is a definite improvement but there was nothing wrong with the piezo buttons. Those new things look very vulnerable and are a backwards step IMHO.

+3. One of the many things that annoys me about my vr3 is that my dry glove seals press the buttons for me but I just have to live with it until I can afford an OSTC :(

I'll stick with the 2n....they still claim to be providing support for the time being and the 2n has a new firmware update as of February. I am surprised to see on a certain suppliers website the 3n more expensive than the 2n, but the DRX cheaper than the DR5.

Looks nice!! But like some people have said not convinced on the buttons. And someone mentioned on the HW forum that the bungees could be tricky to replace with the way they're routed now. But I guess the counter to that is a thinner sleeker unit.

Maybe when I can afford a backup to my 2n :-)

I cant access the front pic as its members only :(

Surely you just remove the back plate to replace the bungees?

Any idea how much it will be?

Mark

Yeah sorry, just mean you can't just tie a new one on. Although in reality how often are you going to need to replace a bungee?!

One site has it for about 760euros (No idea where the flipping Euro symbol is on my old keyboard!!!)
