Royal Navy submarine which was scourge of the Nazis and scuttled off the coast of Corsica is finally discovered 72 years later
HMS Saracen found on the Mediterranean sea floor after a two-year search
Boat terrorised German and Italian navies during the Second World War
Submarine was scuttled by her own crew off the coast of Corsica in 1943
Boat will not be lifted as two sailors died aboard the Royal Navy vessel

I suspect it wont be lifted because there is little point in it!! Not just cos it's a war grave!

^ Thats the real reason. Fact 2 sailors went down with her when scuttling it wouldnt affect any decisions. There was a thread on the net the other day describing how alot of wartime wrecks were salvaged for the copper and metals despite being 'war graves' following the war. Watch how quick they raise it if one of the former crew members spins a dit that they were carrying gold bullion!
