Anybody got an OSTC2 (not the 2N) and would like to have an OSTC3?
I'm looking to downgrade back to one I can program.

Hi Nigel, be careful here. The brand new model is called the 'OSTC 2' but I think its OSTC3 hardware under the hood and seems to run OSTC3 based code. I think you want an OSTC 2c or 2n. I don't think an 'OSTC 2' is going to change anything for you!

I'll ask around for you as well.

Interesting proposition. I have a MkII, I need to look at what is involved with rigging the 3 up to the lid, from a quick goggle it seems to feed from the hud, do you know if you can just feed the computer straight fromt he lid?

Thanks Rob.

What I'm after is the old square one like this:

The 3 runs via an optical cable so it needs to be fed from the HUD.

That is an old MK2. They are the earliest versions of the OSTC 2 and I should suggest that you go with a 2c over a MKII as the MKII's are all pretty old now; you wouldn't be getting a very good deal by swapping for one even though I respect your reasons for doing such an exchange.

OSTC 2's in order of release date:

OSTC MK2 (April 2011)
OSTC 2n
OSTC 2c
OSTC 2 (May 2015)

I'm happy.
I can't get my code into a 3. Darn it I can't get their published code into a 3 but this does what I want.
That would make it a very good deal.
I'm a bit nervous of a later version. What if it has some gotcha that I don't know about?
I feel safe with this.

I seem to have two offers. Are either of you gentlemen ready to go straight ahead?
Do you have the original strap rather than the bungie?
I can probably find the case but no way can I find the right cable but I'll include one that works.

I can't actually answer any questions about the 3
What I really want is this

I'm happy to go ahead.

Mine has a VR strap attached to it, rather than the original velcro.

I'd not want to take advantage, so if you went with my offer and required some cash as well thats fine. Mine is obviously a few years old... ;)

If you want to feed one directly from the lid you need the OSTC cR

I am wondering what kind of spaghetti routing running one from the HUD will offer... I am still dithering a little on this thought so if Jack is ready to go then move forward Nigel... I need more time to work out if it is a sensible move or just adding unnecessary complication...

I'll try and find the case and the booklet in the morning. I have some spare 3.6V batteries.
