Found a seller on ebay that offers two 3.6v saft AA lithium batteries for £5.95. Put in to a battery pack with a suitable connector, these will fit in to the head. Can anyone see a problem powering up the prime and secondary this way with these batteries? Typical meg packs are 5 times 1.5v or 2 times C Cell 3.6v packs and bought in the uk are about 30 quid each. The isc packs are about ten quid each plus postage and customs if bought from the US.
I did that in a Copis (different beast to yours, I know). I think I might even have some battery holders left with the leads soldered on.
If I can find them, do you want them? In fact, Ii think you can get the batteries cheaper, NickB posted a link once, I'll see if I can find it.
I may, of course, be wrong. It has been known.....
I was wrong.....
Try Buyabattery if the other places' postage is extortionate. I got 10 for just under £35 delivered.

Cheers Stan I think it was one of your holders I had originally, but only just got round to thinking about using it. Place I bought from is free delivery.
