Last Sunday my OSTC2n shutdown on a dive, I assumed it was the battery.. When I got home I plugged it in to a charger and it displayed this picture..

Now it consistently crashes and reports the same message.

It's running v2.01 so I guess I should upgrade the firmware, and probably contact HW, however, I thought I'd ask on here first to see if anyone else has experienced this problem ?

Cheers

Never seen nor heard of that before... I would be interested in what HW say...

I'll update this thread if I get an answer so others can use it as a reference..

What is the battery voltage or status? Could it be as simple as it ran out of power and the batery is duff not holding a charge?

Last complete charge in 2011?

I'd plug it in and leave it in for a good while like 24hours (I think the power bar on the screen changes to a different colour when 100% charged). Then check battery info again and see if it registers a complete charge then.

Might not hurt to update formware but i would'nt chance that till battery issue sorted.

I think the reset has goosed the date info. but I'll stick it on charge overnight.. Not holding out a lot of hope though, as when I remove the USB now, it shuts down :-(

That's the battery cell. No biggy to get a new cell but it will need to be repotted, hence a trip Germany.
