Well, both of these are us :)

We are based in Orkney & Shetland running the MV Valkyrie, a 22m ex-fishing boat with excellent sea handling and exceptional stability. We run week long trips for up to 12 divers based in either Scapa Flow, the northern isles of Orkney or in Shetland. We run from the start of April to the middle of November each year.

6 cabins all with their own heating
Hot and cold water & sink in each cabin
Charging points in each cabin.
Two showers
Two proper toilets (not marine heads)
A separate lounge (refitted 2012) and galley area
Tumble dryer
Beer fridge
Big TV and DVD player
Two compressors
Booster
Camera dunk tank
All linen provided inc. small towel
Comprehensive resuscitation kits inc. defibrillator

Nitrox, Trimix & lime available

Full board - breakfast, lunch & 3 course evening meal. Special diets catered for.

We have three crew plus a small dog, providing excellent skippering (is that a word?), deckhanding, gas blending, feeding you until you want to burst & licked faces (we leave this bit to the dog). We pride ourselves on our level of customer service, with a crew member aboard 24hrs a day any problems can be sorted as soon as they occur.

We go the extra mile to make sure you have an enjoyable stay with us, the Valkyrie team is a lot more than just a diveboat.

The MV Valhalla is an ongoing project, a Loyal Class Fleet Tender she is 24m long and simply huge. *A totally blank canvas at the moment, her refit will take the next few years. *Watch this space for developments!

Lots of misinformation on the web (some of it on sites that should know better) with regards to the names of the Loyal Class boats but rest assured (we have her log) that she was launched in 1974 as RMAS Loyal factor, became HMS Vigilant in 1975 when she was used as a patrol boat with RM boarding parties in and around Carlingford Lough Northern Ireland. She was then returned to civilian service with Serco Denholm in 1986 (then just "Denholm") in Western Scotland as Meavy.
She was recalled in 1992 to the RMAS as Sultan Venturer (attached to HMS Sultan at Gosport the Royal Naval School of Marine Engineering (RNSME)) as a training vessel before being finally sold out of service in 2001

I have always loved my times on Valkyrie ( and Stormdrift :P:) and am very excited to hear about Valhalla :clap:
